Now I'm Braggin'

Because today it's been 2 years since I've done this! I smoked for over 30 years ( yes I do realize this is longer than some of you are old!) and quitting was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Smoking was an addiction for me and I attempted many times to quit. After 2 years and countless times getting back on the wagon, I knew on that Thursday morning, March 15, 2007 , that I had it licked when I did not light up on the ride to work! Yesterday I was "showing off" but today "I'm braggin'". Cause I can!

That is the best thing you could ever do! I know how hard it is, too. And I am right there as a quitter with you! Well done!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

This is one of those times being a "quitter" is a good thing! You deserve the pat on your back - it's one of the hardest habits to break.

THAT IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL! YOU KEEP ON GOIN', GIRL!

I smoked from 18 to 32. Quitting was the hardest thing I've ever done. Been 21 years since I've smoked - a very very good thing.

Good for you! I'm not a fan of badgering people to quite smoking, but if you decide to do it then I'm right on the cheer wagon for you.

That? IS AWESOME! Congratulations! I know it took my dad many, many trying and failings before he finally was able to "lick it". I feel sure, short of crack, it's one of the hardest things to kick out there! :-)

Hi there!

Well you earn them bragging rights! I'm sure you wouldn't get back into it!

I don't know how hard it is to stop but I have a couple of people I know struggling to stop so bad. They were like, "How did I managed to smoke for a long time? And I thought I wouldn't regret this! It looked so cool on a person back then!" hahaha.

Congrats!

Way to GO GIRL!
I"m PROUD and envious of you!!
You'd think, with cigs now, over $5.00 a pack, it would be more incentive for me!
Going to try another tactic today!

You have a "right" to brag!!!
Luv ya!

What an awesome thing. I am thankful for you. I am working on Gary. He just smokes when he drives, but it makes me want to cry when I think about lung cancer....and all the other problems cigarettes cause!

I bow down to you!

"TPB bowing down to NNG"

I, too, have quit and started, quit and started. I am in the process of quitting again. I went so far as to buy one of those e-ciggies. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't it tried it yet. This morning, I woke up with a nasty cough and my chest is hurting from it. Quitting smoking is the hardest thing that I have ever done. Researchers say that it gets easier each time that you try. But, I think in my case, I'll have to try 100 times before it gets anywhere near "easier".

Stay off the ciggies, Noe! You are doing great!!!!!
