Things have moving been slow but were moving along.
Until last Tuesday.
Things came to a screeching grinding halt!

That large black object aka a gun safe
on the left in the photo below fell on
Cdub's right foot. All six hundred pounds of it!
!!!!WARNING!!!! The following pictures are
not for small children, weak stomachs,
those who cringe or easily puke.
I am just so thankful it was not any worse.
But after a nice joy ride in the ambulance to the hospital and tons of x-rays, Cdub came home with only all his toes broken (some of them multiple).The patient is resting and healing nicely. Complete recovery time is about six months.
And that big black object has found it's home
and will not be falling on any more toes.

Scared me to death when I heard about it.....I can't imagine what YOU must have been feeling:/ SO glad to see that he is up and around now. But then again, you KNEW he wouldn't be down for long!!!

Oh, that poor, poor man! He must be mighty tough. Six months though?? That's a long recovery time for both of you :(
ONLY broke all his toes???? That is just awful, but I hear you...it could have been way worse. Hugs to CW!
Poor guy!! I'm hoping they did an MRI along with the x-rays. If not, demand it on your next visit. Just a word to the wise...
Also if he is non-weight-bearing, knee walkers are awesome:)

Oh my gosh, that is so horrible!
I am so sorry for him...but also, I am happy that he WILL recover and he WAS'NT hurt worse.

that must have been so frightening. All the horrible things that could have happend didn't though and all/some broken toes will heal. I'm so glad you are both o.k. OUCH!!

Honestly, I can't wait to come to VA in July. Maybe I'll stay a few extra days and see if I can help you guys in some small way. Cook? Laundry? Eat ice cream?

Oh my goodness! Hubby did something similar when he smashed his finger between 2 concrete filled ballasts. The pain our men take. Hope he is healing well.
Oh my gosh, that sure is a horrific accident. Poor hubby. That really looks like it hurts. Six months is a long time for recuperation. I hope he is doing okay considering the circumstance.
