Summer's Last Hurrah

A day on the Mattaponi River
in Walkerton, Virginia. A beautiful place

about a mile from The Little House. We
spend alot of time here in the summer.

One more boat ride.

One last tube ride.

One more wave!

The weather was perfect!

One more swim.

One last chance to relax
and soak up the rays.

Another shot at beauty.

Another day with friends.

I can't believe it's over already.
Thank you and goodbye Summer.
I'll see you next year.

I'm sure gonna miss you!

Days on the water seem to make all those other days just a little bit easier to take!

we had a very short summer this year. Just long enough to remember what a beauty summer can be around here! Looks like you had a fantastic day, is that your son? He has the most incredible eyes!

Sigh, I miss being out on the lake, with the grankids.
That was a GREAT post! and great dragonfly pics. I'm jealous they landed and stayed. :)

This looks like a blast. I haven't gone tubing in years. I remember what fun it was. So glad you all get to enjoy this. It was one of my favorite things growing up near the lake in NJ.
