The Friday Shoot Out~My Town

My Town-The Main Four (maybe more) is this weeks topic
for the Friday Shoot Out.
Thanks again Reggie Girl for the invite!

My town is not a town~ it's just a spot on the map.
Not much here at this crossroad some may say.

But our crossroad has a stoplight.

Lots of waving and horn blowing goes on at this light!
Our way of saying "Howdy Neighbor" since most of us
are our own neighborhood.

Our trusty post office.
Plenty of talking, socializing and just plain old catching up
at this happening place.

We have a library.
And there is a small car dealership up on the hill.

This is the church I attend.
St Stephens Baptist Church
Built in 1842

See the stain glass above the doors?
Hand crafted by my father in law, Mr. T
(God rest his soul)

We have plenty of this.
And this too.
I love my town. It's in God's County.
A great place to be on this Good Friday!

Aww..I think your town must be a smidge bigger than my town though. We don't have a stoplight in the entire county!

Gotta love the open skies and open country!

A beautiful non-town. I find small towns fascinating.

Pretty town. I grew up in a small town where we were surrounded by woods. I loved it. Now it has grown a bit, but not too much.

I love small towns until I need something that's 100 miles away. How nice that your father-in-law, Mr. T made that stained glass window above the doors.

Mr. T is your FIL???

We used to live in a town like that in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We didn't even have a traffic light.
We used to tell people go to Upper Michigan and get really lost and you will be there.
Loved the pictures of your little town.

You have a stop light? Most spots on the map only have stop signs.

Good on ya!

Love it honeychild.....just love your snaps. Noe Noe, I am so pleased that you joined our gang. That's right, you read it here first folks, we've got a GANG (gasp).
What should our colors be Noe Noe and shall we wear Chiffon and throw "gang signs" at passing cars?
I love the wide open space shots and the sky......glorious and unending beauty abounds in your town. Thanks for the tour :)
By the way, when someone is blowing their horn at me they are usually shouting "Hey lady, get outta the road......you're drunk again". Ugh...whatever. People are so pushy sometimes aren't they?
Next week's subject is listed on my today's post.
Please have a blessed Easter and....

I just found your town shoot out listed at another side. Gosh, we have to find a better way to let people know who is participating. Reggie Girl and I started this but is has grown so much it is hard to keep up with.

Anyway, thanks for joining our town shoot outs. Guess you know the subject next week is local foods, restaurants, bars, etc.

I liked the way you improvised ( we all have done that, and it is fun sometimes -makes us think). Your text was nice. It is always nice to be able able to visit another place through the eyes of the people who live there.

You did a great job. Welcome aboard. I will add you to my list to make sure everyone can find you next week.

Darling.....you're already added to 2 blog roll lists of known "shooter"s.......so no worries there. GingerV and Papa has you listed. All anyone has to do is put it in the post title to be seen on the dashboard and voila!! We can all have a little look see :)
You are a joy Noe Noe!!

I like how open and uncrowded your town is. Mine is a crazy suburb and sometimes feels too crowded.

That was a lovely tour.

I love those shots! That reminds me very much of my hometown, Decatur, Texas. Just a spot in the road, or at least it USED to be. Not so much anymore.
