Early Morning Calls of the Wild

We have wolf pups dogs that prowl live here at the Little House. Balto (on the right) and Sierra (on the left)  are quiet the early morning noise makers serenaders as well as excellent teachers!

They have taught the new addition Nikita to make noise serenade as well. She's a Siberian husky wolf dog in the making.

Alot of mornings we wake up to these sounds.
(click here and turn up the volume to listen)

They are also excellent hunters....but that's for another post.

Have I mentioned I love where we live?
What sounds do you wake up to?

Not such a bad thing to wake up to! Reminds me of camping in Washington and hearing coyotes for the first time. According the the Brat Child we have a wolf in the field next to us. I'm fairly certain he's referring to a fox.

I love the light thru the trees and the howls

I wake up to the same bird tweets as in your video if I'm up really early
otherwise it's my neighbors
motorcycle
dogs on either side of me yapping at each other
and then lots of car door slamming as folks leave for work

I love your pups

love that sleeping dog pic. Me? I wake up to a big, slobbering, curly-haired spaniel-retriever who thinks it's time to play if he sees me move at.all.

We wake up to BIRDS!!! And geese!!! And ospreys who sound like they are in the bedroom!!! Lately the birds are doing advanced musical stuff, like they have graduated from bird singing school.

They are beauties! We have a wolf sanctuary about one mile from our house and we can hear them howling in the early mornings. Of course, if that was happening INSIDE my house, I wold have to remove someones vocal cords.
I usually wake up to the sound of our {Ninja} blender; the coach makes fruit/veggie drinks every.freaking.morning!

on week day mornings if i am not up and out of the bedroom by 5:15 .. Jack begins to cry .. he is loud and he is repetitive .. MOOOORE MOOOOOORE ... sigh ... Rose is very smart, she lets him do the annoying stuff and waits quietly til he gets me up..

Sometimes its really great to the sounds of a howl in the morning. But sometimes it pisses me off especially when you get little sleep. Even though they are such a noise makers we still love them and will miss their presence.
