The Bee and 1-11-11

Well Little T has done it again!
This is his 4Th year winning the Spelling Bee for his class.
He placed second in our county Spelling Bee!
The killer word was...kerchief.
Seriously? Do they even make those things anymore?
But it's OK. He continues to make me proud.

On another note.
January 11, 2011 was a very special day for me. I became retirement eligible! Never thought I would be so excited about being able to retire. I've been here at the phone factory now for over 25 years. I am not sure when I will retire but it sure is a good feeling to know I can go when and iffen I want to!
(iffen is so a word!)

WOW Noe Noe - congrats all around! I am so proud of Little T - spelling seems to be a dying art with computers, texting, etc. It is so refreshing to see that an emphasis is still being placed on it, and that young people are becoming great spellers!

And YOU, Ms..25 years at making phones. That is incredible! And nice to know that, as you said, you CAN retire if you so choose.

Congrats lovely lady!

That's wonderful for Little T. I'm smiling for you and with you. Ear to ear grin.

Wow! 25 years at the same company. That's a really long time. I'm happy to know that when you are ready you can retire without having to worry as much. Congratulations!

Woot! on the spelling bee! The only time I've ever heard the word kerchief is in "Twas the Night Before Christmas" (I in my kerchief and mamma in her cap...)

Lucky you... I wish I could retire

I was once second place in my county too! I dont recall what word I tripped on there, but "prevelant" (I probably spelled it wrong again) did me in at states.

Oh, if I COULD retire right now, my ass would do it in a hot minute.

Oh girl, give little T a big squeeze and a big CONGRATULATIONS shout out from me. Wow, he's got me beat...I gotta have my spell check!

Yep, I know the feelin' that you can just walk away and collect your retirement. I retired from Special Ed. at the Middle School several years back. After over 30, I was ready. The word 'retirement' though is a big old joke 'round the Ponderosa!!!

God bless ya sweetie and have a marvelous winter's day!
